Milestone is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). We help local communities to take control of development opportunities in their local areas.
Our vision is for every community to have the housing it wants and needs, not development imposed from outside. We want to make it easy for communities to build affordable net-zero-carbon housing, generate their own energy and set up community land trusts to operate the development on behalf of the community.

Milestone is a collaborative partnership comprising industry experts, social enterprises, businesses, and construction industry professionals.
The UK faces a housing shortage, a housing affordability crisis, and increasing risks from climate change. The traditional construction sector continues to build poor quality car-centric developments designed to maximise profits, often in the face of local opposition.
